M-Wines are the ‘dream wines’ of talented young winemakers. Only 1,000 individually numbered bottles of each wine are released. Each is a ‘one off’ commissioned wine with the winemakers name on the bottle and a mini biography in a booklet telling their story. In addition to the M-Winemakers range there is now an ‘M-Growers range” which tell the story of the grape growers behind the wine.
M-Wines is the passion of UK based Kiwi Philip Morton: “Back in 2009 whilst promoting Robert Mondavi wines at the London Art Fair I realised people were just as interested in Robert Mondavi the person as they were in the wines. They wanted to hear about the people behind the wine. I knew that winemakers were often frustrated artists and they all had a pet project 'dream wine’ they wanted to make. So I decided to commission winemakers to make their ‘dream wine’ in Limited Editions of just 1,000 bottles".
Food and Wine Pairing at Maltby St:
I am also a qualified wine educator and instead of starting a wine school I decided to teach the bit of the lessons everyone wants – Food and Wine Pairing. What better place for a 30min lesson in the midst of the beautiful food at Matlby St.
